Pos Malaysia released this new collection of special stamps and philatelic items on the theme of Museums and Artifacts on March 13, 2014. Collection features 10 stamps on museums in Malaysia together with artifacts that can be found in the museums, which are the National Museum, the Silver Museum, Museum of Customs (Thomson) and Chimney Museum (Labuan).
This is a blog of my personal stamps and covers collection. I am an avid collector of postage stamps, miniature sheets, FDCs and covers addressed to me from across the world, an accumulator and hoarder of stamps. It is my attempt here to show you all of my collection in the posts that I'll add and update regularly. I hope to add more to the collection in the process, interact with you other collectors out there and share thoughts and information about anything and everything related.

Cover - Malaysia
Great cover from Malaysia. Big Cats of Malaysia stamp set on it. This set of Endangered Big Cats of Malaysia Stamps features 4 stamp designs measuring 50mm x 30mm in size.
The setenant design in 60sen denomination features the Leopard (Panthera Pardus) and the 80sen denomination stamp design per piece features the Sunda Clouded Leopoard (Neofelis Diardi) and Clauded Leopard (Neofelis nebulosa).
Cover - UAE
Emirates Post released this set of stamps commemorating the 22nd Al Gaffal 60 ft Traditional Dhow Sailing Race, in denominations of Dh1 and Dh5, along with a Souvenir Sheet of Dh15 and First Day Cover of Dh7. The stamps were issued on 27th May 2012.
A dhow is a sailing boat. What I like about this issue is the peculiar shape of the stamps but it seems to be apt. The shape is resemblant of a sail and very unique. Perfect fit to my collection of odd shaped stamps on cover.
Cover - China
Beautiful cover from China. Any cover with a complete set of stamps on it always excites me. This stamp set shows four diurnal (a daily recurring pattern) raptors or birds of prey in Falconiformes, namely Aquila Heliaca, Circus Cyaneus, Accipiter Gentilis, and Falco Tinnunculus. It was issued on Feb 23rd, 2014 by China Post. The four stamps amount to a total denomination of 5.4 Yuan.
