Christmas Mail 2014 18 - Slovenia

Cover from Slovenia with Christmas and New year stamps. Slovenia Post released a set of four stamps dedicated to the holidays. Two stamps to celebrate Christmas 2014 and two stamps for the New Year. What you see on the cover, the two stamps on the right, are the new year designs issued in 2014 and the stamp on the far left is one from the 2012 holiday season issue.

Christmas Mail 2013 - 14

The first time I've received a cover from Slovenia with Christmas stamps. The stamps on this cover were issued on 26th November 2010. What's also interesting about this cover is the 11.12.13 date on the postmark.

The first stamp depicts the pouring of molten lead into water, which was used as a method of foretelling future events and the second features an Advent wreath with decorations made of beeswax.

I received this beautiful cover from Novo Mesto, Slovenia yesterday. This is one of my favourite covers. That miniature sheet on the cover depicting the white stork really stands out.

Cover - Slovenia, Country #9

My cover from Maribor, Slovenia. Didn't really survive the long trip as I would have wanted but it still remains to be one of the best covers I have. Its my first one with a miniature sheet on it. This one is a 2011 souvenir sheet of a Pihalnega (woodwind) Orchestra

Like the clear cancellations on both the stamps and the sheet.
