This is a blog of my personal stamps and covers collection. I am an avid collector of postage stamps, miniature sheets, FDCs and covers addressed to me from across the world, an accumulator and hoarder of stamps. It is my attempt here to show you all of my collection in the posts that I'll add and update regularly. I hope to add more to the collection in the process, interact with you other collectors out there and share thoughts and information about anything and everything related.

Cover - Micronesia, Country #125
Micronesia is a group of islands in the Pacific, that was part of the German Caroline Islands from 1899 to 1914. Occupied by the Japanese in 1914 the islands were from 1920 a Japanese mandated territory, and from 1947 part of the United States Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, using United States stamps.
The first stamps of independent Micronesia were issued in 1984 and depicted the four federated states that make up the country, Yap (stamp on cover), Chuuk, Pohnpei and Kosrae, in a se-tenant design.

Cover - Cook Islands, Country #124
My first cover from the Cook Islands. Unfortunately this one has been tampered with and as you can see there is a tear at the bottom of the cover. Will keep it though, as I am not going to get another one from there soon.
Cook islands is a group of islands in the South Pacific under New Zealand control including Aitutaki, Niue, Penrhyn and Rarotonga. Granted self government in 1965.
