I received this one last week from Calicut, Kerala. Its got on it the miniature sheet of the latest issue of the India - Slovenia joint issue. Beautiful clean cancellations on this cover.

Packages this year

Though I received quite a few packages this year, these two that came from Poland and Kolkata are unique in a way and I loved them.

Poland - This large package brought in with it thousands of Polish stamps, yes, thousands, literally. Ofcourse there were a lot of doubles, duplicates and repeats...nevertheless, it was days of absolute fun sorting and arranging them. I bought two stock books of 20 pages / 40 sides especially for these stamps and was able to put about 1400 stamps finally from the lot.

India - A cover from home country and I am wondering how sometimes very common definitives can also look brilliant when used the way they have been on this cover. There are blocks, of four and six here and a few damaged ones too. The cancellations are smudged a bit but a great addition to my collection of covers.

I have been putting up a lot of posts on covers Ive received from all over. Its high time I did a post on covers Ive received from India. Since I started collecting covers I have received quite a few from around here sent by family. But there have been some that I received from stamp purchases made.

Here are two covers I received recently. These were sent via speed post. One of these has a mini sheet on the back of the cover.
