St. Vincent Grenadines

Part of a group of Islands south of St. Vincent that include Bequia, Mustique, Canouan and Union.

The islands of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines include the main island of Saint Vincent  and the northern two-thirds of the Grenadines, which are a chain of small islands stretching south from Saint Vincent to Grenada.

Disney - Turks and Caicos Islands, Caicos Islands and Anguilla

Turks and Caicos Islands

The Turks and Caicos Islands are a British Overseas Territory consisting of the larger Caicos Islands and smaller Turks Islands, two groups of tropical islands in the Lucayan Archipelago, part of the larger Antilles island grouping.

Anguilla
Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean. It is one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles, lying east of Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and directly north of Saint Martin.

Disney - Grenada Grenadines

Grenada Grenadines

The southern part of the archipelago (island group), attached to Grenada. Main islands Petit Martinique and Carriacou. From 1999 stamps were inscribed “Grenada Carriacou and Petite Martinique”.

Micronesia

A group of islands in the Pacific, from 1899 to 1914 part of the German Caroline Islands. Occupied by the Japanese in 1914 the islands were from 1920 a Japanese mandated territory, and from 1947 part of the United States Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, using United States stamps. Micronesia assumed control of its postal services in 1984.

Laos

Previously part of French Indo-China, the Kingdom of Laos was proclaimed in 1947. In 1949 it became an Associated State within the French Union and in 1953 it became fully independent within the Union.

Laos left the French Union in 1956. In 1976 it became a Republic.

Libya

A former Italian colony in N. Africa, comprising the goernorates of Cyrenaica and Tripolitania. From the end of 1951 and independent kingdom including the Fezzan also. Following a revolution in 1969 the country became the Libyan Arab Republic.

Indonesia

An independent republic was proclaimed in Java and Sumatra on 17 August 1945 and lasted until the end of 1948. During this period the Dutch controlled the rest of the Netherlands Indies, renamed "Indonesia" in September 1948. On 27 December 1949 all Indonesia except New Guinea became independent as the United States of Indonesia which, during 1950, amalgamated with the original Indonesian Republic (Java and Sumatra), a single state being proclaimed on 15 August 1950 as the Indonesian Republic. This was within the Netherlands-Indonesian Union which was abolished on 10 August 1954.
