Christmas Mail 2014 - 4, Ireland

Received this cover from Ireland from my good friend Carolyn. The cover's got the complete set of Christmas stamps issued earlier this year on it.

Two of the three new stamps feature details from stunning stained glass windows by Harry Clarke who was born in Dublin in 1889. Clarke's father ran a decorating business which specialised in a variety of mediums, including stained glass and Clarke himself showed an early talent for stained glass window design. Some of his most famous designs include eleven stunning windows in the Honan Chapel in Cork.

The third stamp in this series features a young girl, playing the part of an angel in a children’s Nativity play. Below is the first day cover with all the stamps from the series. Thank you Carolyn.
