Cover - Sri Lanka

A cover after a long long time from Sri Lanka. Beautiful complete set of stamps on the cover with nice clear cancellations. Thanks Ravindra.

The stamps commemorate the 100th anniversary of aviation. The Sri Lankan civil aviation sector marked its 100th anniversary on December 7, 2012. The first aeroplane performed its first successful flight at the Race Course Grounds in Colombo on December 7, 1912. It was made by two Frenchmen George Verminie and Marc Poorp, who arrived in Sri Lanka on a ship.

    1. Yes Jose. This is nice as cancellations on covers coming from Sri Lanka are usually not as clean and clear as the ones on this one.
