Cover - China

This is one of my favorite covers from China and it is the se-tenant set of three stamps on the cover depicting the Guangji bridge that really sets the cover apart.

The stamps were issued on November 16, 2009 commemorating the exquisite design and beautiful decorations of the bridge. The Guangji Bridge, also known as Xiangzi Bridge, was built over the Hanjiang River years ago in the 1700s. Originally, it was a floating bridge formed by 18 shuttle-shaped boats connected by an iron chain. This bridge has the features of a beam bridge, an arch bridge and a floating bridge, which makes it unique in China.
